Tabernacle Basic Blessings began in 2017 after one of our adult Sunday School classes completed a study in the Book of Acts. Inspired to put their faith into action, the class formed a modern-day “Acts Ministry” to serve our local community — and Tabernacle Basic Blessings (“TBB”) was born.

This ministry provides essential household and personal care items to families in need — items that are not typically available through food banks or social programs. These include toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, laundry detergent, deodorant, and other necessities.

How to Receive Assistance

If you are in need of Basic Blessings services, please visit one of the monthly distributions.

When you arrive:

1. Bring a copy of a local utility bill showing your name and address as proof of residency.

2. If you have school-age children living with you, please bring a copy of each child’s birth certificate.

3. Let the Basic Blessings workers know that you are a new client and need to register.

How to Help or Donate

We’re encouraged to see this ministry growing and meeting the needs of our community! There are several ways you can help:

2. Donate funds to purchase needed supplies

3. Serve at the monthly distribution

4. Donate gift cards from ShopRite, Acme, dollar stores, or Walmart to help purchase supplies

Items Always Needed: Baby wipes, baby rash ointment, baby wash, bandages, body soap, chapstick, deodorant, denture supplies, diapers, dish soap, feminine products, first aid ointment, hairbrushes/combs, hand sanitizer, incontinence pads, kids’ shampoo, laundry detergent, multi-surface cleaner, toilet cleaner, lotion, pull-ups, shampoo, conditioner, shavers, shaving cream, sunblock, tissues, toilet paper, toothbrushes/floss, toothpaste, and washcloths.

A list of needed items is also posted on the church bulletin boards.

Donations to Basic Blessings may also be made through our online Giving system.
